Hi Guys, Just wanted to say thanks for a great product. I've used it for many years, (portable version) for not only checking out my own computers, but also from all my friends.
Thanks once again.2 votes
Thanks for your letter. We will try our best to improve it.
I could not get GU to remove this list from the FILE menu in File Explorer. I finally found the following process to work:
To reset and clear all jump lists, you need to do with Command prompt. Press Windows + R key from keyboard, type CMD into the box and press Enter. Then run the following commands one by one:
del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations*
del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations*
taskkill /f /im explorer.exe
start explorer.exe4 votes
Recently installed "Total Defense" security suite. Worked great, but then wouldn't update. A message came up like, "Unable to determine product eligibility. Even re-entered product key. No good. Three times I spent over an hour with an iYogi tech. He found a registry problem and repaired my registry. Had to uninstall TD, re-install it, and re-boot. Finally I figured it out. If I ran Glary and did registry fixer, the Total Defense would be corrupted. (Did system restore, and TD worked fine.) I always liked Glary Utilities, used it for years. Is there a fix??1 vote
There is a buffer overflow. When you give text of size about 2000 in length with all A's the application crashes.1 vote
So basically you'd be able to choose which services to run at startup, a profile for work where you'd need specific services for example. Or one for photoshop and you'd like to disable many services. It's a great way to customize and save RAM+CPU cycles.6 votes
