  1. Driver Updater

    the driver updater doesn't work very well on the windows application. It has never detected an old driver once since i've had it. Just wanted to say that i love the product but the driver updater can use some work. God bless you!

    • deleting an extension because it's default value points to deleted progid is bad

      I noticed that when a progid is in an extension's default value has been deleted, repair registry solution deletes the whole key. This is destructive and potentially messes up a user's extension associations.

      For example:

      HKCR\.epub
      @="epub_auto_file"

      and epub_auto_file doesn't exist, the whole key is deleted.

      The problem with this is that the extension's default value doesnt necessarily point to the user's choice progid (as is my case). Also, there's other important stuff in an extension entry worth keeping. ContentType is one, another is an extension's thumbnail handler is possibly registered at this level. perceivedtype entry may also have been…

      • Customer Service

        Without Prejudice.

        I honestly and genuinely believe, from my recent experience that "Customer Service", (Faith Lee) is absolutely appalling.
        "Faith Lee did NOT address the matters and/or issues.
        This individual ignored matters and there is still NO resolution.
        I have loyally used Glary Utilities for some time, this is how loyalty to a brand is rewarded.
        I recommend NOT to use this product, based purely on indifferent "Customer Service", (Faith Lee); find an alternative!!!

          • Remove the Trojan Horse!

            Downloaded during install my Virus Software started flashing Trojan horse, Trojan horse, Trojan horse.

            Once installed and cleaned it seams to work as expected.

              Please try to uninstall the current version on your pc. Please make sure all the files under “C:\Program Files\Glary Utilities 5” are deleted. Then restart the PC.

              Then download and install a new copy of our program(not the previous one saved on your pc). That may solve this problem.

                • PRO auto-update doesn't work...not much of a feature.

                  I've got the Pro version and have checked "Automatically download updates in the future" in Settings.

                  But, when I'm told there's a new version of the tool, I'm still sent to the website to download the newest version and install it myself.

                  So, is this a placeholder for a future feature, or is it bugged?

                      What's the big idea with the super-annoying notification sounds in version 5.115.0.140?!?
                      NOBODY wants that! The least you can do is give an option to disable these sounds in Settings. I mean, *that* barking dog in Browser Assistant... who's your Project Manager, Pluto?

                            • DISK Space Analyzer: Show a proper "Size on Disk" for cloud services instead of Size

                              More and more users use cloud services to store data such as Dropbox, Gdrive or OneDrive. But analyzing my 640GB SSD shows 1.2TB of data when checking those drives. Now, I know that Windows Explorer Properties tab has two values, Size and Size On Disk. We need this option as well, so we can see which folder acutally uses the most space on the hard drive, and not in the cloud.

                                      File undelete feature recovered files but does not transfer them to designated folder upon clicking "restore". Why? Any suggestions? I can see the files and are all very good and have tired to direct the restore to various folders and nothing transfers at all.

                                        There is a Restore Center in our program. After doing Registry cleaner and other clean operations with glary, you could restore them. But make sure you have not deleted the operation record in the restore center before you undo it.

                                        First, open GU, click Restore deleted files Under File management; choose the disk, and search; for easy find the files you want, you can choose the Folder or files types, and check up the box you want to restore; finally click restore.

                                        By the way, you’d better save the founded files to another drive.

                                          Since the system report is already displayed in column's then allow the User to use it when he saves the report. Now it only saves to a .txt file not a columned Spread Sheet format.
